Course Outline

This course covers extensive listening, reading, writing, and speaking practices for the Academic IELTS test. It intends to help you develop a well-informed and in-depth understanding of these four language skills, focusing on the writing and speaking skills most IELTS candidates find extremely difficult. Students will improve different styles of IELTS writing, the writing process, and how to construct grammatically complex and correct text. As for IELTS speaking, students will practice various topics to communicate fluently and precisely using sophisticated vocabulary, grammar, and sentence structures. Besides, we will help expand your topic-specific vocabulary and teach you the best and most up-to-date practice and examination techniques that have helped many of our students achieve a band 6.5 or higher. Each lecture covers one of four IELTS sections with explanations, examples, exercises, mock tests, and expert feedback. Learning and authentic test materials (worth 80 GBP/800 MOP) are provided at no cost.

Teachers: Our expert teachers have decades of experience teaching English and IELTS to middle school students, university students, and adults; some hold master's degrees from top UK universities.

Course dates: Every Wednesday and Friday for about one month.

Lesson times: 13:00–15:00 BST (UK) or 20:00–22:00 CST (Macao). After 27 October, 12:00–14:00 GMT (UK) or 20:00–22:00 CST (Macao).

Total hours: 20 hours (10 lessons).

Learning mode: Live online.

Medium of instruction: English (or a combination of English and Cantonese/Mandarin if requested).

Quota: 3–4 students.

Teaching Approach

This course consists of lectures, handouts, online resources, mock tests, discussions, role plays, and feedback.
